Inspired by the likes of The White Stripes, The Black Keys and Tom Waits, The Pretty Blue Guns leave their audiences wanting more with their unmistakable bluesy feel. We got Andre Leo, lead vocalist, to give us his top 5.

1). Locals bands (these are in no particular order):
Anything my friend Jonathan Velthuysen is involved with, whether he’s solo, fronting his rock n roll band Stepdog, playing bass with Lua Union or breaking hearts with Johanine.
Same as above goes for Jonny Tex. Most will know him from the Revelators, but he could play a shoe lace and it would sound good..
Lark – I think the best is yet to come
Ashtray Electric
Albert Frost Trio – Albert makes the Blues trio dynamic interesting and fresh. Not a wank fest

2). Live acts:
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Synergy Live 2011 – Possibly most moving 2 hours of my entire life
The Rolling Stones – Germany 2007. Saw 2 shows of my favourite band with one of my best friends. Got some real gems in the setlist.
Grinderman – I’ll Be Your Mirror fest, London 2011. Nick Cave is even better than you would imagine.
Portishead – I’ll Be Your Mirror fest, London 2011
The Tallest Man On Earth – CTICC 2012

3). Places to travel:
Arniston
My dad’s place in the Klein Karoo
The English country side. Only been once, would love to visit again asap.
All those little ghost-towns you drive through at night on tour.
The Garden Route

4). Music videos:
Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds - Fifteen Feet Of Pure White Snowhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4sfhvxTZ0wo&ob=av2e
The Kills – Black Balloon  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ruc1jTK2H_s&ob=av2e
Tom Waits – God’s Away On Business http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxLAT2U1bCc&ob=av2n
The Black Ryder – Sweet Come Down http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbLjM2NloaI
The White Stripes – Dead Leaves and The Dirty Groundhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zh7UFi2b9xU

5). What makes you feel liberated:
Music
Love
Friendship
Skateboarding
Swimming in the sea on mushrooms
